Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
The short version. Inner Tempo is built to run entirely on your device. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Your breathing sessions are stored only on your iPhone (and synced to your own Apple Watch). We never see them, and we have nothing to sell.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers the Inner Tempo iPhone and Apple Watch apps (the "app"). It explains what the app does and does not do with your information. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. The app has no sign up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number, and we do not create a profile of you.
The app does create data as you use it, for example your completed sessions, streaks, minutes, and any preferences you set. This data is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
3. How your data is stored
- On device only. Session history and settings are saved on your iPhone using Apple's on device storage.
- Apple Watch. The watch app runs a session and sends the result to your paired iPhone over Apple's local device to device connection. The watch itself stores nothing long term.
- No cloud. We do not operate any servers and we do not back up your data to our systems. If you use Apple's own device backups (such as iCloud or an encrypted local backup), your app data may be included in those backups under Apple's terms, not ours.
4. Backups you create
The app lets you export an encrypted backup file so you can move your history to a new device or keep a copy. That file is created at your request and saved wherever you choose. Once it leaves the app, it is in your hands. We never receive a copy of it.
5. Analytics and tracking
There are none. The app contains no third party analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and the app does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
6. Health and sensitive data
Breathing practice can feel personal, so we treat it that way. The app does not connect to Apple Health, it does not read your health records, and the optional breath check is a simple timer you run yourself. Inner Tempo is a wellbeing tool, not a medical device, and nothing in the app is a diagnosis or medical advice.
7. Children
Inner Tempo is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no personal data at all, there is nothing for us to gather from a child or anyone else.
8. Notifications
If you turn on reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device to nudge you to practice. These are generated and delivered on device. We do not send push notifications from a server, because we do not run one.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the date above. Because the app is local only, any future change that involves sending data off your device would be described here clearly and first.
